This weekend was busy, busy, busy. And, as is the norm this time of year, most of it was filled with food, parties, and drinking. Not to mention, gift buying, present wrapping, and packing for Christmas. And now, only two more days before I head back home on Tuesday night.
I went to Little Branch (which happens to be one of my favorite places in the city) for drinks with two of my cousins. As usual, it was delicious. In case you were wondering, my drink is on the left – it has blueberries and blackberries and some other delicious things in it.
I bought wrapping paper. But the bigger deal here is that I picked a theme for this year’s wrapping paper. Every year, we pick a theme for the wrapping paper and this year it’s it’s metallic – all gold and silver. I think it will be beautiful once everything is finally wrapped.
I went to see Black Swan and I thought it was incredible. It was intense and thrilling and (in the interest of full disclosure) I did have one friend who didn’t love it. Natalie Portman was beautiful and did a fantastic job and I’d highly seeing it.
I spent most of Saturday working on various Christmas projects – wrapping presents, sending the last of the Christmas cards, etc.
My roommates and I had dinner at The Standard Grill with a few of our best guy friends.
We wrapped up the weekend with an annual tradition for our friends in the city: a goodbye 2010 brunch at Balthazar. Lots of champagne and oysters certainly helped end the weekend on a high note.

omgoodness i love everything here! the drinks look absolutely fabulous, the wrapping paper is gorgeous (so much better than the cheap stuff I’m forced to buy), even your desk full of projects! And I’m glad to hear a good review of the Black Swan, I want to see that movie SO badly!
