Buttered Noodles with Toasted Sage

I’m not sure why, but this week I’ve been a little homesick. Even though I’ve lived in my apartment for 3 years and it feels like home, there’s something about going back home with my family that I’ve been missing. I haven’t been back since Christmas and I’m not sure when I’ll get to go back again. To try and give myself a little taste of home, I made these buttered noodles with toasted sage. I adore sage and this pasta is a wonderful way to use it – I actually let the butter brown just a bit once I removed the sage (I love any sort of brown butter sauce) and it was delicious, homey and comforting. Just what I needed.

Do you cook when you’re homesick?
