I woke up this morning and decided to use one of my “virtual workdays” allowed by my company. Meaning, I still have to meet all deadlines, attend any meetings (I have none) and be present on any calls (only 1) but I get to do everything from the comfort of my apartment. I was so happy and content until I turned on the news and saw everything going on in Japan and other parts of the Pacific. I’ve been unable to tear myself away from the news (even during my brief stint at the gym). So sad to see such devastation. I plan on making a few extra calls to friends and family this weekend – things like this always make me to appreciate friends and family so much more. My weekend plans are low key. The weather is supposed to be nice so I plan on taking advantage of all that NYC has to offer…especially those things that I have abandoned since the weather turned cold.
