This decision has been slowly forming over the past few months. I planned on signing another lease in the city but another opportunity presented itself and I felt like I had to take it. I’m sad to be leaving the New York, admittedly sooner than I thought I would be (after only 3 years!) but happy to start a new chapter. All this thinking and decision making is another reason I’ve been absent for so long and I think it’s also been a part of my decision to start blogging again.
Now, I know you thought that was the big news – and it partially is. But there’s more. Are you ready for the really exciting part?

Alright, I’ll just come out and say it.
Yes, at the end of May I’ll be packing up everything I own and moving to Chicago with one of my roommates. We are both excited, terrified, and overwhelmed but most of that can be attributed to the actual move itself. More information to come later, including lots of posts about my attempts to soak up all of the New York that I can in the next five weeks.
