Howdy

When it comes to cities, I can be fairly picky. Sometimes, it takes a lot for me to really love a place. Luckily, that was not a problem in Austin. I absolutely fell in love with it. It had just enough southern flare combined with a southwestern-hipster melting pot of a culture. It was great. I knew it was going to be a great weekend (it was one of my closest friends bachelorette parties) but even I was surprised by how much fun we had. It was packed from end to end, without a single moment to rest until I got to the airport on Sunday.

We had dinner at La Condesa, where they had the most amazing street corn and great ceviche. The margaritas weren’t half bad either. Then it was off to the bars – honestly, I have no idea where we went but I do know there was line dancing and a mechanical bull. Saturday, we had brunch at Abel’s on the Lake, followed by some shopping and then drinks and dessert at Perla’s. With no down time to speak of, we had a quick lingerie shower before dinner at Second Bar + Kitchen, which was delicious. Sadly, I don’t know the name of a single bar we went to except to say that we had a bit too much fun and Sunday morning came far too early. I was sad to leave my friends, and Austin, behind but hopefully I’ll find time for another visit soon.
